Farah is completing her Freshman year at North Central College in Naperville Illinois. She has had to work very hard to bridge the gap from part of second grade in Afghanistan to becoming a ninth grader when she arrived in America. Farah enjoys music and most things that American teens like to do.
At every speech and book signing, people inquire about her mother. Fatima is doing well, but has to be diligent about taking care of her asthma. She has come a long way in her thoughts about school for girls to advocate for Farah to go to College.
Farah continues to travel and speak. Farah's friend Alyce travels with her and acts as her manager.
